Fur coat on a T-bone steak

Material: Oil, acrylic and ecoline on canvas
Size: 120 x 80 cm

As a vegetarian, I think it is absurd that a piece of meat (read: part of an animal) is given a name: T-bone, steak, entrecote. The animal is seen as a product and no longer as a sensitive being that wants to live. As children, we had more compassion for all animals and often saw them in beautiful stories. As adults, we only love to cuddle pets. Now we don't think about them any more and consider the animal as a product that we need to survive or as a decoration for luxury goods. In this painting, you see a bull wearing a fur coat. The fur coat is represented here as a humanoid being. The staircase leading up to the bull refers to the people who elevated the fur coat to a status symbol.
