Abstraction of an African mask.

Born in Heerlen, I grew up in Sittard where I finished my secondary school (HBS) in 1967. After a two year intermezzo studying engineering I started working in the textiles industry and followed an evening course at the design academy in Eindhoven. For more than 45 years I was a fabric-designer for Vlisco BV in Helmond, designing exotic prints for the African apparel-market. Several years I also was collection- and productmanager for this company. Painting has always been a passion and it became more important for me after my retirement. Another, increasingly important, activity is creating digital art. Visit my website to view both my paintings and these digital works. Since retiring I returned to Sittard to live and work.
