Ptarmigan has a hybrid body, a body that opens and connects, that entangles and empathizes beyond the boundaries of its skin. The boundaries between floral formations, animal plumage and human interior views of the body no longer exist in it. In my paintings of the ptarmigan woman, a simultaneous sensation of supposedly incompatible body realities occurs.
