Change of times

A painting about how times change. A lot has changed since the rise of social media. People used to write postcards and (airmail) letters, and were patient and looking forward to receive a reply. Nowadays we live in an ‘instant’ world, we don’t have time or patience to write postcards and letters, and we want quick responses. We present ourselves in the best form or situation to give a good impression of our ‘happy’ lives, which actually gives us a mask, because we only show our better part.
